About Mouse Button Tester

Confirm every button on your mouse and the scroll wheel are working. Press buttons on the pad and they light up on a mouse diagram and in the legend; detected buttons stay highlighted, and scroll ticks and double-clicks are counted.

Left, middle, right and the two side (back/forward) buttons are all tracked, and the right-click context menu is suppressed so testing stays smooth.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't my side buttons light up?

Many mice and most trackpads don't expose back/forward to the browser, or they're mapped to navigation. If they never register here, the page simply isn't receiving them.

Does it test the wheel?

Yes — scrolling over the pad registers up/down ticks and lights the wheel on the diagram.

Is it private?

Every calculation happens on this page, in your own browser. Your input is never sent to a server, never logged and never used for training — which also means the tool keeps working when you are offline.
